The District in Lower Lonsdale is a cozy, TV free, bar that serves great food.
We tend to go for brunch but recently I stopped by for a quick drink. The coffee is filter, but they excel at tea. I discovered a new fav: African nectar. Even came in a tea pot, somewhat unexpectedly. The cider was pretty good too.
Happy hour is in the afternoon, and some yummy food like cheese garlic bread can be had for 3$. The whole atmosphere is great here.
